Saw this line from the Gramophone CD shop. How apt:

"Without music, life is a mistake"

And so, I will continue with the rest of the lines that would include the essentials in one's life...or so to me (not in rank & order).

Without money, life is hard
Without love, life is empty
Without food, life is miserable
Without friends, life is a nightmare
Without hope, life is dead
