6pack about cafe cosmo

this one is about cafe cosmo who had sold their last asahi on last saturday after a year in operation.

and what a wonderful year it has been. it has been our favourite hangout place where we have shared our laughter, various drunken antics and nonsense that we came up with. it has also been the place where we made friends who have the common liking for the music that we listen to.

gonna miss cafe cosmo. hope they will make a comeback. my asahi wont taste the same anymore!

the concept - teenage fanclub

one of the localbar boys played a nice acoustic version of this song on friday at cosmo.

oh mandy - the spinto band

cosmo singalong!

the girl from katong - serenaide

another cosmo singalong

saturday night engine - club 8

i first hear of club 8 at cafe cosmo. ended up buying the cd. this song is from that cd, strangely beautiful.

leo are you still jumping out of windows in expensive clothes - my little airport

another find from cosmo.

a sister social agony - camera obscura

cosmo favourite!

mister maroon's graphic novel. you could be happy by snow patrol

Important info.
1. Click on the images to see the full size.
I kind of realised a lot of people don't know that.
2. the audio clip is at the bottom of this page. click to hear the song.

i like this song by snow patrol from their new album.
the haunting xylophones and melody takes you away to a reality many memories away.
i love songs that are haunting and simple, and this happens to be one of those rare tracks that falls under this category of songs which i love.

mister maroon's graphic novel. chasing cars by snow patrol

I've been listening to this song for a few days now.
And I've never felt any sort of attachment to the lyrics, but it means something to me now.
It's how I feel now... and there's a little voice in me that is whispering to the wind, wishing that you can hear me.

You can hear the song at the bottom of this post

chasing cars

we'll do it all

everything

on our own

we dont need

anything

or anyone

if i lay here

if i just lay here

would you lie with me and just forget the world?

i dont quite know

how to say

how i feel

those three words

are said too much

they're not enough

if i lay here

if i just lay here

would you lie with me and just forget the world?

forget what we are told

before we get too old

show me a garden thats bursting into life

lets waste time

chasing cars

around our heads

i need your grace

to remind me

to find my own

if i lay here

if i just lay here

would you lie with me and just forget the world?

forget what we're told

before we get too old

show me a garden thats bursting into life

all that i am

all that i ever was

is here in your perfect eyes, they're all i can see

i dont know where

confused about how as well

just know that these things will never change for us at all

if i lay here

if i just lay here

would you lie with me and just forget the world?

sweet music of the week

asobi seksu means "playful sex"in japanese. dream pop, noise pop, shoegaze, post rock, syth pop, not necessary in that order. get lost in the wailing wall of rhytmn guitars and the angelic voice of lead singer yuki chikudate. very my bloody valentine..

check out their new album coming out on the 30th of this month.

citrus

you can download 2 of the songs from their new album on their myspace.

lets play this loud!

empty fields - oxford collapse

some jangly guitar sounds from brooklyn, new york. listen to their latest album released last year. "a good ground"

nobody moves, nobody gets hurt - we are scientists

sounds like bloc party, the killers, the rapture and franz ferdinand combined!

a certain romance - arctic monkeys

they have the fastest selling debut album in UK chat history. whatever people say i am, that's what i'm not has made them the IT britrock band at the moment.

the band - mando diao

swedish garage. apparently their band got no meaning at all, it appeared to one of the band members in a dream. wow.

tightly wound - the capes

another brit band. they just released their debut album "hello" this february. a collection of sunny tunes backed by zippy keyboards and jagged guitar riffs. how sweet...

god monkey robot - the apparitions

one of my fav songs at the moment. nice keys and strings complement. go get their latest album "as this is futuristic"!!

tata!
