hei sweet music junkies and crazy monsters you all! whats the story morning glory?

a big fucking hello to mister 22-blah-some-complicated-pantone-colour, what colour is that anyway?! great, so much for military style conformity, what do we learn here? there will always be some way to really get outside the fucking box. creativity knows no bounds.

first up, i wanna hug mister rainbow and sing, "you ain't heavy, you my brother". your thread was intense and searching, exactly who you are as a person, great thread dude, your thread has the most comments so far, i am sure those comments (absolute gems themselves) answer all your 'meaning of life' questions. okay, stop being a philosopher, now time to be a dj! yeah! yeah! yeah!

and back to mister complicated colour, your first thread is beautiful, i will always remember your words when i look up into the sky and the stars. words cannot fully thank you for all the love you have shown us, you are god's blessing to us as best friend and brother. if there is only one good thing to happen to us, its you. only god knows when we will venture to the great beyond, i hope i go first before you or anyone else for the grief of loss will be intolerable..............

i feel very pete yorn now, with lots of dave matthews band and the beatles to boot....... nice....................................................................

and yes!!!! answers finally to my GREAT census. :) mister black absolutely cracked me up big time hahahahahahahahaha! dude! you shouldnt comment to answer, blog it, now i gotta repeat your answers for the universe at large. fav shower song - spandau ballet's TRUE hahahahahaha! everybody go watch DUPLEX and forever be mentally scarred. never has a tune invoked such harsh indelible imagery hahahahaha. no wrinkled old women in my shower dude, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

indeed, your selection for best songs to shit to are so awesome i got them down on mister grey's mp3 player and went for a trial myself. BEST SHIT I HAD IN TWO MONTHS. go try it folks, if you dont already have your poop session favourites. mister black's top of the poops are explosions in the sky - 6 days at the bottom of the ocean, guns & roses - live & let die and keane - can't stop now. amazing man.

i absolutely agree with mister black's choice of first thing in the morning blast. The Strokes' ROOM ON FIRE. yeah! yeah! yeah! and yes dude! i remember hahahahahaha! i was so junkiefied i had the Strokes' room on fire on repeat on my musicmatch jukebox (whats that dinosaur again?? viva la i tunes) in my room for a month. yep. a month. whether i was sleeeping, sanging, werking, shitting, bathing, eating, writing or even fucking. yes. even in the throes of sex. though of course my sexual escapades were at an all time low during that period. couldnt be helped folks! i was a THE STROKES hardcore bunting freak junkie. help! help! help!

which is why i always say, when in doubt, crank up the fucking volume.

peace and love - mister pink

Am I here ?

Am i here? Are we here?

Some say we are not alone in the world...

BUT...

Of all the friends I've ever met. You guys are the ones I won't forget. And if I die before you guys do, I'll go to heaven and wait for all of you.

When the night comes, look at the sky. If you see a falling star, don't wonder why, just make a wish. Trust me, it will come true, because I did it and I found all you.

look at the colors around

is it true that birds of a feather flock together?

how is it that we choose friends?

by how good looking or ugly they are? the way they speak? they physical abilities? or even how much money they have?

are we friends for an ulterior motive!

look into your friendships. are there true friends around you, and if so can you really convince yourself that they will stick by you in your time of need!

can you do the same for them!?

what is the deciding factor in the relationship?

things change all the time and so do people. are we the same person and have we become a front to cheat others and be cheated out of our friendships?

look into your hearts and the answer will be screaming out from your soul!

and only then will you know,

who am I?!

What are we listening to?

Lets share some of the stuff tt we r listenin to. First up, Death Cab For Cutie's new album, Plans. Lots of soft lush melodies, n as usual the songwritin is superb.

Debut effort from The Spinto Band. Consisting of SEVEN members, they describe their music as twitchy, catchy guitar pop.
Last but not least, Eux Autres. Indie pop at its best. Eux Autres r a duo consist of brother n sister, Heather n Nicholas Larimer, playin drums n guitar respectively. they share lead vocals. Hell Is Eux Autres is their first full length cd. i would call it abit of surfy/garagy indie pop. check it out!

i need your ears and memory - answers please

hei all yah sweet music dudes and dudettes! what's the story morning glory!

first up wanna say big hellos, welcome! and big thank yous to the entire sweet music crew, hello mister purple, mister rainbow, mister white, little miss red, and of course worsty. dude! get a colour for pete's sake! stop making the sweet crew sound like millitary dictators when we are not. we are very hippie and nice. now, get a fucking colour DUDE! or ELSE.................................

now, let me get the blog thingy confessional kiss my ass out of the way. i woke up today, had breaky, trashed the office, werk was painful because of MRS doom a.k.a. a certain mr.ANDREW - if you are reading this i hope you choke on your bagel and forever have nightmares of infinite sexual encounters with the entire cast of THE GOLDEN GIRLS. after which respite in the form of salad, funny bullshit, war games and of course my daily fix of sweet music fm. great. that was that. now on to serious business -

i am in process of the GREAT sweet music census and am stuck @ level 41. only 2,786 more levels to go, certain census experts have promised me that i should be able to finish my project by the year 2050, barring any world wide catastrophe. hence i need your kind time and patience. why patience? you are going to be needing much patience in order to ransack your consciousness, semi-consciousness and full blown id to come up with your personal answers to the following census questions. here they are;

1. name me 2 political tracks or 2 tracks with very strong sentiment and/or view points which have affected you the most in your lifetime.

2.which 3 romantic and/or love related songs are your favourite romantic/love tunes of all time?

3.if you could have or already have a sound system in your bathroom, name me 3 tracks perfect for a bath or send me a mix perfect for that gladiator poop session, i.e. best songs to shit to.

4.that all time favourite song to listen to just before you get into the ring to murder your most hated villian.

5.your current morning wake up song - the track that makes your day the first thing you awake

i hope you folks havent already thrown a sock at the screen, or worse, turned off your computer.
words cannot properly describe how important your answers are, waiting for the eventual publication of the census will vindicate my efforts, i think... anyways, fucking huge thank yous, and remember, when in time of uncertainty, crank up the volume.

peace and love

mister pink's top 10 albums late 2004/2005

this has to be the hardest thing to do in life - a best album, band, song list. yupp.

and of course, precisely because beauty lies in the ears and brains of the listener,
here i am suffering from mulitple personality disorder, rearranging memories, aftertastes, at first listen delights and multiple listen pleasures. help! help! help!

you know the best part?? you can now officially torture yourself every second of the day, every day of the year; the lists will never end. thank god.

the sweet music crew cordially invites you to rate and compare your dope, weigh up your feelings and emotions, slash away at extras, only keep the best. so you will remember....
if lists are your thing that is.........................................................................................................

so here goes, and trust me, it is painful for me just to decide, i might/will change my mind in a bit
i think.....

1. interpol - antics album of the year

2. arcade fire - funeral indie's new messiah. excrutiatingly beautiful.

3. bloc party - silent alarm this album destroys. be warned.

4. sufjan stevens - illinois singer/songwriting at its best

5. clap your hands say yeah - clap your hands say yeah a chirpier arcade fire, crazy, fun, colourful, amazing

6. the get up kids - the get up kids live! @ the granada theater their last show. concreted their god status

7. the killers - hot fuss important album, rocks everybody's boat, even if they dont admit it

8. bloc party - silent alarm remixed if silent alarm didn't exist, this would be album of the year, easily, maybe contending for album of the decade

9. hot hot heat - elevator new melodies, dripping with ska like harmony and exceptional tunes

10. the stills - logic will break your heart what's going on over in canada?? we gotta go and check the canadian gig scene dudes and dudettes! the stills are fucking awesome!

top of the pops 2005

the flaming lips do a beatles...tripping, of course

yoshimi battles who??? one can only wonder who the magician is or how surreal his morning might be.... i have a postulation, a hypothesis. a pretty simple one. look @ the beatles and their yellow submarine adventures. yuppers. all world and universe of music and saints of anything holy like a good fucking tune will have to say A BIG THANK YOU to our favourite barkeep who fed the flaming lips their catalyst trip, the most mischievous lager on the house, all pink robots, batteries for audio playback, not fucking included unless you are tripping too... hahaha...

the get up kids live! their last show

the get up kids, after a long while, and live...
amazing. ..... what a zone i'm in now... amazing...

well, how did i get here...

had a good day, logged down work, spent quality time with bertrand you
beautiful talented brave fucker...came home with mister black, he is
crashed out now, had a bit too much tea, somehow, as it has always
been, too much tea renders him incapable of feeling, in his words,"
boh feeling"...
me, i am having my favourite ceasar salad to wind down, and then i get
in this zone, playing mister black's newly bought get up kids live, yeah,
fuck...
guitars wailing, singing in heart twisting riffss, flying out and
above your ears and head, incessant, incessant, faithful beat and beat
and drumming hitting banging drums saving beauty from silence
suddenly, and the bass ballet, that fucking dancing of sliding dying
living clear pushing, driving, hanging on, leading, everything,
everything except the perfect, perfect, emo fucking vocals.
damn it.

matthew pryor. james dewees. robert pope. ryan pope. jim suptic.
the get up kids.
thank you,
your loner dottie, a rebel
