6pack with misterBlack show 27

so where have all the merrymakers gone??

anyway, its been an eventful february month.

localbrown&indie show on locations for the past 3 weeks. i promise they will be back LIVE on sweetmusicfm next week, better, bigger, badder. stay tuned....

bangkok 100 rockfest was alright. cant say much abt the scotch whiskey they have. its fucking awful! but we still down it on the rocks anyway.
oasis proved that they r a bunch of fucking rock stars, especially noel who likes to walk around stage with a stupid tambourine n act like he owned the place. i can play better tambourine than him manz..
franz ferdinand were lively, very likable but they seemed a bit tired.
placebo were very politic, very nice to the audience, keep thanking us. sawadeekap!
can tell they seasoned performers, very professional. brian molko changed guitars after every number n they have 2 keyboardist who will switch to guitars in some songs.
well, for me the best band over the 2 days got to be snow patrol. gary lightbody's vocals r superb n he sang with much emotions. plus their songs r oh so beautiful... we almost hug each other n singalong. hahaz

others wise. bangkok is quite a city. i like it. especially the cheap food, cheap beer n cheap shopping. definitely gonna go back. just lookout for the next gig there. this time i will know my way around.

hey mister pantone, put up some photos!

ok here's my latest creation..

wake me up acoustic!

Home Club & The Rockstar Collective presents

Wake Me Up Music Goes Acoustic
23 FEBRUARY 2006 8PM $12 First Drink Entry

SURREAL
Surreal delivers a passionate and heartfelt punch to ears that are hungry for honesty, both in words and music. Made up of 5 members whose musical backgrounds are as wide as they are extreme, Surreal shatters the textbook definitions of genres, only to conjure something that is undeniably, a genre by its own.

SET FOR GLORY
Set For Glory is a young band that is making quite a buzz in the local scene in Singapore. With an average age of eighteen, the band consists of Nicolas Hartsuiker (Vocals & Guitar), Faris Shafie, (Bass & Vocals), Titus Tay (Drums), & Sameer Sadhu (Guitar). Fueled by their energetic stage performances, and a passionate love for music, the members of the band come from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures stretching continents from Europe to Asia.

AND SPECIAL GUEST!

PLAINSUNSET
Plainsunset was formed in 1994 by 4 guys who were into alternative music and wanted to create their own brand of music. The first EP is entitled “Runaway” and was released by Straits Records in 1999. After playing many shows at the Substation, Youth Park, HMV, Far East Square, Zouk Club, Bat None, The Esplanade ... etc, a new EP called “Love Songs For The Emotionally Wounded” was born. It was released by Wake Me Up Music. For the release of this EP, they toured New Zealand, Malaysia, Hong Kong and played shows here in Singapore. Their last EP before they broke up is called “The Gift”. It was released under Wake Me Up Music. It is a thank you gift to all their friends and fans who’ve been supporting them all these years. Played their last show in early 2004. 2006 welcomes back the brotherhood of the sunset.

be there.

Where has the sunshine gone
Or the happy sing-along

My reddened heart
And my weary soul
How can I fight when I don't have the
will and might

Happy the child who smiles
And the ones who treasure their founds

Mr DJ play me a song of hope
For there could be a light that we can see
If we only let love be

It was considered a bloody valentine's day, accompanied with cold and quiet hallways, the usual small talks, and one crucial decision that was to make my day a little more interesting and yet depressing. Thankfully Mister Babyblew would appear now and then to help me out with the going-ons and matters that could take my mind of some things not worth mentioning. In darkness, the cold cold air-conditioning only made the night silence more bearable with its droning that would lull me to sleep, always keeping in mind that the very day which I lost 2 litres of blood, I lost something more than just the flesh but also the mind and memories of 5 years....maybe 6. I lost myself between decisions that I had to make, the future and the past that eventually caught up and made Tueday morning so different from the rest of the days....post-valentine's day depression? Or just lack of loads of blood flowing to my head? Whatever the case, life still goes on, and sleep is still sweet comfort for my restless soul awaits.

Good day folks! Well, it's been a crazy 2 weeks, lotsa re-union dinners, collecting hong baos, bak kuahs, booze, gambling and partying. Just went MOS (Ministry Of Sound) last Sat.....all i can say its as big as MOM (Ministry Of Manpower) dats juz across the river and Studio 54 & Pure is just beautiful (chix included) ;P
It's time someone gave Zouk a run for their money, someone told me that on Friday which had Norman Jay in the main room @ zouk, it was a pathetic sight. Why? At 12midnite, Bidern was stil trying to get more ppl on the dance flr coz there were less than 10, well zouk has never suffered on any given weekends, wat has become of the giant? About to be eaten by another? i wonder what's goin to happen when the Powerhouse opens, hmmmm....
Anyway, for this week's session, everyone will have Lessons in 'M'....What am I babbling about? For those who listen and know what they are listening to (notice the names of the bands), an alternative onslaught awaits u. And before you know what's going to happen Mr Pink, this one is for you.
